TUPELO — For the second consecutive year, the Chickasaw Inkana Foundation has honored community members who have contributed to the preservation of the Chickasaw Nation or exemplified its philanthropic nature in the group’s homeland.
On Thursday, members of the Chickasaw Nation honored Mitch Caver, co-author of “Piominko: Chickasaw Leader,” and CREATE Foundation President Mike Clayborne for his work in philanthropy through the nonprofit, as part of the Chickasaw Inkana Foundation Legacy Gala. The formal event, which included a dinner and awards ceremony, was held at the Cadence Bank Arena and Conference Center in Tupelo.
