Chickasaw Heritage Center project progresses, land clearing underway

TUPELO — Work continues on the clearing and construction of a location meant to amplify awareness and educate the community in the region’s first people, with contractors clearing the way for the new Chickasaw Heritage Center.

Chickasaw Inkana Foundation CEO Brady Davis said the ice storm slowed progress on construction of the Chickasaw Heritage Center. Work does continue at the site, which will be located at Chickasaw Village on the Natchez Trace between the McCullough Boulevard and the West Main Street exits, near the Wildwood neighborhood.
